We can put a wish list together of players we would want but ultimately if they are not available then we are ice skating up hill.

Lee is available, as I’m sure others will be.

Crocker is a Canberra icon and has a year to run on his contract. I don’t see how he is coming to SL until the 2025 season at which point he will be 34.

I still think we'll see Owen Farrell at Wigan in 2024. He would cost nothing on the salary cap in year one and I think only 25% in year two.

It would get headlines Rogues but surely an expensive project the club can't afford given the other limitations in the team.

He solves the 13 issue and the GK issue which in turn moves both Shorrocks and Smithies to full time SR. He could probably do somewhat of a job at 6 if needed albeit not as a runner.

If his salary being off the cap means we can then sign an extra prop for example it could work. I just wonder what his salary would be to move over from Union UNLESS he simply wants to finish his career here before heading back in a coaching role.

Not for me. He’s doing well at Wakey but he does nothing to resolve our biggest issue in the pack, a lack of size.

It would all depend who else comes in for me. I like him and from a statistical POV he’s been very good generally throughout the season (over 100m in a game on a number of occasions). He’d be the type you could play for longer minutes and rotate around him. If it was him, Walters and another big, powerful forward, I could definitely live with that.
