Ryan Sutton told he can leave Canterbury according to the Aussie press. I know plenty say he won’t come back to the UK but he’ll have to see what interest there is in the NRL before making his decisions. A loan deal for the rest of this season would be very useful for us.

He had a serious neck injury the other week. Can see him taking the rest of the year off.

I’d take him with that injury rather then playing Byrne or Mago.

We’ve been stung by players returning but I think Sutton would be a great addition to our pack, someone who runs it in very hard. If he signs you would hope he’d keep himself in the physical condition he has been in Oz, I was a bit peeved when he went there and shed a lot of his fat he carried when at Wigan.
It does seem like he is fully committed to Ozzie life but if there isn’t any offers for him in the NRL I’d hope we’d be at the front of the queue.

He shed that fat in Wigan at a boxing club, let’s not give the Aussies credit for everything.

It was for the NRL though.
I think he will get a gig in Oz, he seems fairly well thought of, just wonder if the injury he has had this season could maybe have long term affects and that’s the reason they want rid?

I thought I read somewhere that he has only been given permission to look elsewhere and, if he prefers not to, he will not be forced to leave the Bulldogs.
