KPP played a highbrid role on Sunday very effectively as a prop and secondrow.

I think Walters will come in to play that role with Nsemba, Shorocks and Chan competing for the secondrow spot alongside Faz.

One thing is evident in that we are transitioning from a relatively small pack this year to a much larger one next year.

We are sacrificing a lot of experience in the props with Ellis being our oldest confirmed at 26 outside of Cooper who is an injury doubt.

I think a prop 29-32 to come in would be a good addition to the squad.

An experienced prop is probably our most necessary addition, a decent 6 would be next in an idea world. The pack for next year looks decent on paper but the lack of a leader in the pack is a glaring omission (Cooper may or may not come back and even if he does it is going to take quite a while to get him back to match fitness). Faz has been a great player for us but I do not see him as the pack leader we need.

Hopefully Havard can get over his recent injury issues and stay fit long term as he is probably our most consistent prop - just a bit concerning how many injuries he has had recently - hope it is just a spell he can get over.

Hearing a rumour Willie Isa has torn his peck.

If so that’s probably him done at Wigan from a playing point of view.

Fingers crossed it is just a rumour.

Yes thats been confirmed by Peet so thats him done. Sadly his body has broken down over the last couple of years. I'm not sure there has ever been an overseas player at Wigan with a better attitude than him.

If the semi is his last game then it would be a real shame.

If one player encompasses the Warrior name it is him.

I know we are criticised for a jobs for the boys culture but he is one player I would love to see stay around in a leadership/mentoring role once he hangs up his boot, which I hope for his sake is at the end of the year as the hammer he has taken over the years is catching up with him.

If it's true, then he should retire and open up a quota spot.

Also agree with the sentiments of him getting a job on the backroom staff. Not many people have had the journey or breadth of experience that Isa has. Add in his undoubted commitment, attitude and personality and there's plenty he could teach the academy/scholarship lads.

I never like to see players finish due to an injury however, it appears that iIsa’s body is now struggling. Hopefully, Rads will make the right decision for the club and Willie.
