Jordan McLean rumoured to Hull FC.

I suggested him for us 6 foot 5 18.5 stone prop who starts most weeks for the cowboys (who are a top 8 team).

Will be 32 later this year so probably not a Wigan signing.

Will do a job in SL for a couple of years I reckon.

He should be a good signing for Hull and i would have been really happy with him at Wigan, I think this sort of profile is what we should be looking at (maybe a little younger if possible) at either prop or second row for what will likely be our final signing for next season.

Assuming there is just one more that would leave one quota spot free, potentially for an existing player or Wigan may decide to leave it free for the future. I wonder if we may still be open to taking up the one year option on Patrick Mago in light of his recent form. He has his faults and has been hugely frustrating in his time at Wigan but he does offer something different.

I would have thought the door is closed now on Cade Cust and Willie Isa.

How old was Mike cooper when Wigan signed him?

32 but a local signing who the coaches knew was settled and used to the comp. Coaching staff were familiar.

Wigan came out and confirmed the policy of mid 20s NRL signings who had their best rugby ahead of them rather than 200 game NRL veterans who might be shot.

Yeah, Mago to me looks like he’s hit some form knowing it’s contract time imo, people are saying he’s shaken injuries and this is the fittest he’s been but I’m not too sure, I’d want him to maintain this form for the rest of the season and I’d probably be willing to offer him a 1 + 1 contract.

Wouldn't have entertained offering a contact to Mago. He's playing well but it's too little, too late. His current form only highlights why we shouldn't look to extend him. If it takes the lure of a new contact to get you playing something like, it tells it's own story.

We can get a tune out of him for the rest of this season and part ways.
