Bloody hell, been looking forward to getting him back. Cant see us doing much in the playoffs without him.

This time of the season now its all about luck with injuries. Catalan look nailed on to be in the Grand Final and you'd imagine its a shoot out between Saints and Wigan for the other place.

I've said before that if we can get everyone back (bar Paasi and Walmsley obviously) then I still fancy our chances but anymore injuries in the forwards for the play offs and we are done.

Conversely Wigan are capable of beating anyone but lets say French or Smith gets injured and you can see Wigan bowing out in the play offs too.

For me, the Grand Final winner will be one of the three teams I've mentioned. I don't think Leigh will achieve the fairytale.

We can only hope it’s not as bad as feared. I’d give us a reasonable chance of getting to Old Trafford with him in the side, alongside Ellis and Dupree (as well as an improved Mago) but that chance drastically decreases without him.

It's true. I sent a PM on here to a couple of you but didn't want to put it out there publicly but seeing as the cat is out the bag.

He had a reoccurrence of the same injury in training; it's not so much the original injury was worse than first thought.

As long as Smithies is fit and continues the upward trajectory that he has shown this season in the 13 shirt, nobody plays there but him, if Smithies continues to grow and improve into the role as he has been i hope he is our long term option there.

I did mention before the Wire CC game how i was looking forward to seeing what Ellis could offer in that position, as he used to play there for St George in the NRL. Ironically we got to see very little of what he could do, a little over 5 mins actually . But since that game i have been impressed with what i have seen from Smithies there and (i assume) he has been working with O'Loughlin in the background to improve which would seem to be paying off. Not many better tutors in the game then him.

I agree with NK, it surely has to be Powell who makes way, nothing else seems to make sense.
