The more the transfer picture progresses the more i think French is leaving at the end of the season. Warrington signing centres has to be the end for King there. Wrench will probably be brought on by them next season. I get the feeling Wigan didn't want to announce Keighran but the news was already out there un-officially and it probably forced their hand. Keighran to 6 and King to come in permanently would be my guess. We all know French was very close to going home last year. I'd be gutted but the man owes us nothing if it transpires to be the case and is a modern day great. I could see him going well at FB for an NRL side and there is nothing wrong with his tackling ability.
Will somebody please tell me i am talking rubbish
I think you’re talking rubbish, it’s been confirmed to my knowledge by all parties King is returning, Warrington don’t seem overly outnumbered at centre to me as Ratchford is just a fill in Matautia is leaving and Wrench has yet to break through properly and is coming off the back on an injury.
French leaving I have heard zero rumours of this and as has been pointed out I’m struggling to see where he gets in at full back in the NRL (that’s not saying he’s not good enough) and if a team wanted a full back from Superleague I think they will go to Welsby.
Imo both French and Field could be here for a long time if we want, French is 29 so I think his window for returning may have gone, the problems at home have also passed. Field I just think is too small for the NRL ( that’s what they feel anyway) the only way I could see it is if the salary cap disparity gets so big that a back up NRL back gets paid more than a starting Superleague player. I will caveat this by saying things at home may pull them back and over rule sporting decisions.
