aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.
The Mole @RLW_Mole Moley is getting strong vibes from UK that Zak Hardaker could be off to @WiganWarriorsRL ... been on for a while but getting more solid.
The Mole is usually close to the money so that is very interesting.
I'd love for that to come off. Get him on the left wing this year with him also covering for Bowen before taking over from him next year. I'm a huge Hampshire fan but he's a 6 IMO and will need to step in to Greens shoes before long.
I say all that as though it will come off. It's still a long shot just yet IMO.
Hardaker really would be the missing link in the back line. Proven talent on the wing, FB and centre; and can kick.
The questions for 2014 are now over preparing for the future.
We have so much competition, we cannot realistically expect to keep Powell, Rocky, Williams, Sarginson, Green, Smith all in the halves for 2015. So who goes ??? Can Powell make the move to 9 ? (not convinced yet by Logan)

When I've been thinking about what 17 I'd pick next year I've been putting Williams in as a bench half/hooker the majority of the times. He's got a game really well suited to that 9 role. He's a real nugget of a player that can pick out a gap and has good strength and deceptive pace. He's also used to ball handling and picking out gaps from playing in his usual position at halfback.
Hardaker would be a great signing for you men but I wouldn't count in The Mole 100%. He had Saints as nailed on to sign Tim Moltzen earlier in the year and it turned out there was nothing in it.
However if it is true then it's a great bit of business for you. Hardaker at centre and Thornley on the wing maybe?

I dont think it matters which way around you would play them. Probably Hardaker on the wing to take advantage of Thornley's size at centre. The key, as ever, would be to give any partnership time to develop (but abandon it quickly if it becomes obvious it won't work). Confidence is everything, especially with Thornley.
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.
I'd like to see Hampshire coming off the bench into the halves with Smith switching to 9 as Tommy used to. Smith has done us a good job there in the past
