I think Logan Tomkins will see this as his big year to make his mark and come out of his brothers shadows. I'm not convinced he's up to it but I at least know he'll give it every last drop of energy.

If his form isn't good then I'm happy enough with our other options of Sam Powell and George Williams (who I think could make that spot his own this year).

If we do spend I'd still like another outside back and a prop/second row but it's not panic stations if it doesn't happen.

I too have a hunch Tomkins will have a big year. It is a massive year for him and he needs to make a mark he will be aware of that.

If Powell and Lauaki go as looks likely I would love us to go after a Prop. I was going to say a Prop/second row but I think we have enough of them.

A wing/centre would not go a miss.

I'd expect Tomkins to have a big year if I believed he had the ability to do so. Unfortunately, as much as I like him and appreciate his work load, the ability isn't there to be a Wigan player for me. George Williams could very well move into that position as he has bulked up a lot.

Rather than being obsessed with a back-up hooker, id like us to use that bench slot to get Williams and Rocky game time. they are the future.

Bingo, I'd use Hampshire/Williams/S.Powell in the most games then an extra back rower against Hudds, Leeds, Saints and Wire. Ideally one of them should then be ready for the 6 shirt in 2015 if/when Green goes to Aus

Williams was outstanding in the Academy Grand Final and looked every inch capable of shifting to hooker.

Good build excellent eye for a gap and turn of pace. If Logan does not hit the ground running I expect he will come under pressure fairly quickly from Williams.

We have an abundance of quality halves.
Green and Smith are excellent and as good as any in SL.
Sarginson & Powell were the halves in the England Knights team that played Samoa in the pre WC game and put over 50 past them.
Hampshire and Williams are the current England U19 halves and are real quality with a small number of first team games already.
Who the coaches chose to play when and where is up to them and in view of the team's trophy haul this past few years I do trust their judgement to get it right.
