Reports have suggested that we are not spending up to the cap, therefore I can't see many players leaving at the end of this season.

Meli and Flannery both off by the sounds of things and that will be (ridiculously) a good wedge of the cap.

I thought they'd both re-signed on reduced contracts? Sure Flannery did at least.

I think we will bring it a half back but id be surprised if many more than that were signed, I expect Gelling to be promoted next year, with Logan & Russell taking on bigger roles.

Unless something special becomes available from down under or SL, I dont expect to see us buy, just to strengthen the squad, but with Madge @ Souths, we do have a good scout in the NRL.

Resigning Finch, Lockers & McIllorum are more pressing.

Scott Dureau signed a contract extension with Catalans. Pity, would have loved him at Wigan.

Dureau was never going to sign for Wigan.
If we are looking around then it will probably be the NRL, but they are ever more expensive.
Russell's loan deal at Hull could be a good move for him and the club.
Maybe next year it's Finch to 7, Sam at 6 with Russell taking the 1 shirt.

Anthoney Mullally wants to "test himself in the open market".
Promising youngster, but any club that takes him will have to pay Widnes compo.

Wane might be hoping that when Sam Powell recovers he can get some first team experience in the hope of having a couple of options next season without having to sign a new halfback should signing one of the right calibre [cal-eye-ber] or price prove difficult.

Hopefully we are in a position to use some of our younger players if there are players who are good enough available. It would be a shame if the club had to bring in a player they weren't too sure about simply to fill a gap.
