George Burgess likely to play on Sunday according to Lam, not sure that’s the smartest decision but if he drops Clubb for him he can’t produce much less
Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.
Burgess - watched by older brothers Sam and Luke - lasted 18 minutes on debut before being rested and didn't get back on, as he nursed a hip injury which kept him out of Wigan's pre-season matches.
Not a chance he was getting back on, injury or not. He was appalling.

He should've been pulled off before BMM put him on his backside, it was painful watching him. Hopefully he's at least healthy because he must be a million miles off match fit.

Unpopular opinion, Clubb was much much improved against Hull and should keep his place.
I'm with you on this. I've been pretty critical of Clubb these last few weeks but I think his performance against Hull was his best so far this season. His minutes on the field is increasing too (20 mins in the first and around 13-14 in the second half IIRC).

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
Has Lam not learnt his lesson playing players too early with George Burgess? That performance is only bettered by Andy Powell as the worst performance in a Wigan shirt I’ve ever seen. And if Flower has been out for a long time then play them both in the reserves first instead of embarrassing them and himself by playing them in the first team straight off. It knocks their confidence and makes people think Lam hasn’t a clue.
I agree. There’s no need to rush them back. If we were struggling at prop I’d see the sense in it but the fact is we’re not. We’re going quite well in that department. If they’re 60/40 or 50/50 now - they aren’t fit for the game on Sunday.
