Dodgy opening quarter with Clark running the show for Wire but unlike last week never looked in trouble once we got our noses in front, onto the semi we go

Think Peet summed it up perfectly - we played well 2nd half and closed the game out well but the start wasn't good enough with a lack of intensity. Liam Byrne epitomised that getting dragged back twice alongside loose defence allowing the offload for the first try.

KPP and Mago helped big time with their impact. Smith, Wardle and Field were excellent. French still looks out of place but you can tell they're working hard to make it work as well as possible.

Probably a 7/10 performance. Pretty good in the end but we need to be better next week. Be interesting to see if Peet throws Willie Isa in - he could be a big help if fit.

Peet 5 Powell 0.

French doesn’t quite look like he’s clicking in the halves, but he’s up there with try assists in the league this season and another great one tonight, I think we are best sticking with him at 6 and Field at 1 for the rest of the season. I think O’Neill at 9 and 4 forwards on the bench is the way to go too which seems odd as at the start of the season you would have had Cust and Powell as starters almost guaranteed,

That opening 10-15 minutes was horrific defensively but we managed to get things together. There is so much class about Wardle and it was nice to see him play well against Wire. We’re going to need to find some intensity from minute one next week or else they’ll burn us.

Looks like HKR's new signing has hit the ground running, a try and golden point drop goal on debut

What's the deadline for cup eligibility these days? Not sure if they'll be able to play him.

After 15-20 mins, I thought we could be in for a tanking, but Wire faded badly in the second half. I think French is growing into the role at 6 OK, really. Both he and Field got their hands on the ball plenty, which is surely what we want. I would have liked to see more of Nsemba too, he looks such a good prospect. KPP and Mago both pretty good. Dunno if I'm being unkind, but when Smithies broke for the try French eventually scored, I did think, is that the fastest he can run? We got the score, anyway. Wire didn't seem bothered about preventing our scorers running round to make the conversion easier. Saints or Cats wouldn't have allowed that.

I thought Smithies had a good game and showed decent pace in the open, his first break he showed some wheels and did Dufty around the outside and had nobody else been there he would have scored, even though that came to nothing it was actually a big moment in the game imo as it broke Warrington opening dominance and put us on the front foot for the first time in the game.

I'm starting to have doubts about Peet. I think he needs to go.

Also, Harry Smith is awful. He makes Denis Moran, Doc Murray and Marc Reber look good.

Oh....and Rads is poop too.
