According to our local paper, Wane is looking at bringing Russell back sometime this season, and resting Tompkins. Shame as I would have liked him to stay for the rest of the season, might stay at Hull for another month though. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.u ... story.html

Id imagine Wane will target the run of games after our next three of Saints, Leeds and Catalans to rest Sam and get Russell in. Sam will be turning out for England in the middle of it all and we have games against Widnes at home, Bradford, Wakefield and London round that time so if there's an opportunity to do it then it would seem round then.

I've been impressed, Widnes aside, with Wanes player management and you can tell he has a long term plan to keep the lads as fresh as possible for the end of the year.

IFL has probably decided it's the only way we'll ever win Man of Steel again. Plus, it'll be a good opportunity to have someone on the field who can inflict very severe injuires on the opposition and not get punished for it.

Chase would be outstanding alongside Finch but if he was signed instead to replace Finch we'd be in trouble.

He'd need an experienced head alongside him here to pull the strings whilst he got on with doing his thing which is taking on the line and putting doubt in defences minds with some lovely handling skills.

I think we'll see a star scrum half come in next year, but lose Finch and Leuluai - i hope im wrong as i love Finch as a player.
