Depressing reading but I'm sure the club will have a few things up their sleeves. Hope so anyway.

One thing's for sure, as it stands now no-one will be able to moan we have too many overseas players.

There is no chance we can lose the quality of lima in our front row and use his salary cap to sign a "quality" back as some were saying on the thread that has been locked.

We MUST replace Lima with another Prop and a good one at that.

I accept we do not have to spend as much as we probably are for Lima to open up some cap space but you cannot allow a battle hardened World Class front row player leave and expect to replace him with Dudson for example (no disrespect to Dusdon intended as he is a top class prospect).

It is a tadd concerning at the moment the rumours that are knocking about that seem to have some substance to them. We are getting a championship settled team slowly picked apart by age and opposition.

The club will have to have some pretty major plans in my opinion to recruit players IF things go the way that they seem to be going.

Well Souths fans were saying a fortnight ago they'd signed Justin poore and Lima, with Roy asotasi coming to SL and possibly Wigan.

On a side note on the Lima rumour, should we be worried regards the amount of quality personnel being allowed to leave early? Both Barrett and Piggy left early. Madge left with a year left on his contract. Joel Tomkins was allowed to leave shortly after signing a new 5 year contract.....now maybe Lima.

To lose Tommy, Carmont, Roberts (and whoever else if the rumour mill is to be believed) does free up a fair amount of Salary Cap, but is there enough hgh quality repplacements out there?

I know the Under 20's/Under 18's are the future, but you still need quality players around them.

Signing Asotasi and saving a bit on the cap would not be the end of the world although it has to be said Roy is not the force he once was, he still has the experience and toughness that we would need to recruit should we lose Lima.

I think if a player has made his mind up that he want to leave there is little point in forcing him to stay. You will not get the best out of someone who does not want to be there.

The cap means we can also ill afford to hold someone and not play them just so they can honour their contract.

Alot of deals to be done by the sound of it.

Personally I am sick of seeing players come and go. I want stablity for a change. All this chopping and changing.

Leeds have had Webb, McGuire, Burrow and Sinfield in key positions since 2007. They have won 4 of the 5 titles available in that time.

Similar story with Saints and Bradford before that... and then with us in the 90's. Stablity in key positions is crucial.

Even if we could keep Finch and Lima, they would leave a year later anyway, why not lose them now and build for the future?

We have been unlucky to have so many quality players being linked with other clubs over the last few years really. I would have liked to have seen leuluai see out his career here but it just wasn't meant to be.

We have 3 of them. We need stable half-backs.

I wouldn't worry about the pack, we have enough players coming through IMO. Prescott and Mossop will get better and better and the back-row is deeper than any others in super league.

A young half-back is a must for me. Leuluai has been doing a job for us since 2007. 6 years of stablity IMO is part of the reason we have become a succesful side. A young half-back to play alongside Finch just for one year while bringing someone else through.... if not we have no option but to bring Sam back to 6. No man is bigger than the team...

In a bizarre way, it may not be the worst thing that we need to do this now.

I agree we need to get some big stability in the halves, as we have 1, 9 and 13 in a position where we shouldn't need to be looking to change for the next few years.

Leeds are going to go through a massive change shortly, as they're going to have to replace the entire spine of their team. Webb, McGuire, Burrow, Peacock and Sinfield will be Massive, massive losses for them. Wire will have Briers going away shortly, same for Hodgson, Morley and M Monaghan.

That's a huge incentive for us to use this year to lock our halves down, get some top class players in the 6 and 7 jerseys and then sit back with those players under contract while our rivals are forced to do some major rebuilding, not unlike Wigan had to do with Rads, Lam, Farrell and Newton moving on.
