Saddened not taking things well


Wigan I can see being interested as their outside backs are nothing special. Carmont, although clearly better than Newlove and arguably the finest centre ever to play the game since Barrie Jon Mather, is retiring, Gelling is comically poor and although Goulding is playing well, he's not anything special. But with their academy system, would they really want to pay Saints a transfer fee for Makinson?

Lomax is a hooker for me. He's brilliant running at the line with ball in hand, but at the moment there's far too much owness on him to move Saints around the field. Hohaia has been shocking and I have to have a smile to myself remembering how I was shot down by Saints fans on here when I made that very prediction.

Matty Smith is currently considering offers from ourselves and Saints with a possible decision being made at the end of the week

If Finch stayed (he won't though) and he signed it wouldn't be too bad but if with no Finch it could be catastrophic

I would like Lopini Paea to replace Lima, wanted to sign Paea a few years back and whilst I've watched him for Catalans he has impressed me.

I think Smith has a lot of potential and he would be okay alongside Finch. He has a good kicking game and a decent running and passing game. If we manage to retain Finch I would definately like us to sign a young English half back for the future instead of being dependant on 2 overseas players there.
