Todd Carney is a superb player and his crimes arent exactly Leon Pryce level are they? Hes got driving offences and I think what would be called "outraging public decency" here I wont say what that was for haha
just like it helped tim smith? the wigan goldfish bowl and the 'bright lights' ( ) of king street aren't exactly like escape to the country!!! its accounted for more than one professional player being a load of poop for wigan.
NRL players in Sydney are watched like Premiership footballers here when on the town and get the associated wannabe WAGs and people looking to make a quick buck. Apart from the CCTV in King St he won't be watched here.

To true Tim Smith was not a flop here because he was on the lash all the time, he was a flop because he can not tackle for toffee. His passing game was of a very, very high standard, but very inconsistent.
It has nothing to with him propping up the bar in Maloneys with a Harvey Wall banger in each hand, or drinking in the Embargo (forget the new name) because its the only place open late on a Monday night ( ).
I do not recall one single story to make me believe that he was on the sauce whilst over here.
Carney would be a hell of signing.
I would still sooner have Dureau personally though.
Flower and Dudson are being brought in as squad players IMO. Which is exactly what you need in a tough 27 game season. As proved time and time again it's those clubs with the biggest squads that ultimately have the most success.
Flower may not have impressed last night, but it's worth looking at his and Gil's stats on the SL website. For relativley young players, who aren't playing in a great team, usually losing heavily most weeks, their stats are very good.
Anyone else hear about Wigan supposedly having two assistant coaches next year in the shape of Harris and Sculthorpe? Everyone I spoke to last night was adamant about it.
Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Wouldn't be the worst idea ever, Huddersfield have at least 2.
On another note I will be gutted if we Luauki, he is bobbins and a lazy, lazy player.
After his fist drive against Wire I thought 'ey up' could be alright, but didn't nada after that exept hide in the centres.

FWIW I asked Harris when will he be starting his new job. He laughed and said in about a month. I said I hope it goes well and we left it at that!
[quote="Headingley Rhino"]Great win yesterday at our place, there is no denying you are probably the best team in SL as you have proved it all year so I think it's justice done that you have got to Old Trafford. I thought wigan was excellent in the second half and showed why you guys are top dogs this year.
