Anthony Quinn has to leave Melbourne by the end ofthe week for salary reasons. Maybe we could take him and move charnley inside next year to cover one of the problem centre spots.

Does being 'Wigan through and through' qualify you for the Wigan job? - if so there will be a hell of a lot of candidates!

Ive nothing against Wane but being born in Wigan and deserving it really have nothing to do with it. I have little doubt that he knows his rugby but i by no means think this will be an easy decision for IL to make.

As i have said earlier i just hope that we have explored all options rather than giving it to someone because its a popular choice amongst some of the fans or even the players.

Quinn can play centre as far as im aware

I seem to remember his name was mentioned last year too? He's a centre or winger and not a bad un by all accounts? I think we def need a centre and I'll be worried if we don't get one, even if George stays in a year!

Have you got a link? Would be useful cover in the threequarters and a much better use of our quota and cap space that fecking Cross.

No link. It was on 'NRL Game Plan' this week ( can download at acrossthetasman) where Joel Caine suggested Melbourne had learnt their salary cap lesson and that Quinn had to leave by June 30.

Madge would know he'd have been available mid season and we've been strongly linked before with him,
Maybe a mid season deal suits both clubs and the reason we've kept space available on the cap.
