"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.

Tusons proved his worth this year. The only thing that holds him back is a lack of minutes and if he was to move on I think it'd be more his choice then ours ala O'Carroll.

Give Tuson 80 mins every week and he'd produce 40 aggressive tackles and plenty of energetic carries.

He's having a very good season when he gets the chance!

He could be the next HH imo.

Sadly for Tuson HH has at least another 5 years left in the tank.

He's also not as good as Hock and doesn't have the potential of Faz or Hughes.

I can't see him staying at Wigan as he'll want more first team action.

He deserves to be a starting player at another team.

Hansen or Hock or both may follow the well trodden career path of second rowers and eventually move up to prop which would inturn open up backrow spots.

That could be Tuson, Hughes or Lloyds way in long term. If I were Tuson I'd certainly be looking at hanging around for a bit yet.

I'm not sure about him making plenty of carries. Even when he's started games and played longer minutes he hasn't necessarily made a huge number of metres or carries.

Defensively he's got a good work rate but that's not really anything special for back row forwards. There are dozens and dozens of forwards who can make a large number of tackles during a game.

What Tuson needs to do is show something extra that sets him apart from the average workhorse type forwards. He's shown good footwork on one or two occasions this year but he needs to show a greater ability to make a break and demonstrate his handling skills a bit more. He's got talent, he just needs to demonstrate that a little bit more.

Tuson has had a better season than Farrell imo.

If Tuson is happy to stay at Wigan as a squad player, I don't think he's good enough for the 13, then I'd be more than happy to keep him here.

Farrell likewise.

Hughes has yet to make his mark in the back row but it's his first year in the 17 and he was fantastic against Leeds.

I genuinely can't see how you have that opinion. Liam Farrell has been brilliant this year. He's made so many linebreaks its untrue and is into double figures with tries due to his attacking ability. Tuson can be described in one word. Steady

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go

I agree with what you say about this season but I still don't think he has an impact going forward. He makes the least M per carry from our whole pack for most games, he doesn't seem to hurt his opponent like Hock and Hansen do... and he doesn't have the pace and elusive nature which Farrell has. Flanagan was the same in 2009, we didn't miss him. I love his enthusiasm and he is a great squad player, I wouldn't try and stop him moving on if he wants to though. He is quite far down the pecking order as a SR for me.

I know a few people have said it before, but, why not try him at hooker?

I agree, Farrell has been excellent so far and is playing well in Hansen's absence. For a forward he has a very good try scoring record and is just one of those players who knows his way to the line. In attack he's always dangerous with his footwork and deceptive strength and he's also one of the best support players in the league; he always seems to be there to support a break. He's also the least error prone player in the squad.

Tuson just doesn't offer anything like as much. He's quite a skilful player but never seems to show it. His attacking game just isn't as good as Farrell's and while he's more aggressive in defence he's also more likely to miss a tackle.

That's not to say Tuson doesn't have a future or the potential to be a better player as different players mature and develop at different rates.
