If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.

Cant see it being us, but will probably end up at Widnes, everyone else seems to be doing so.

It's Widnes. They've offered him an absolutely massive deal.

I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league

"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.

Tuson hurts people in the tackle? How can you possibly say he tackles harder than any of other player?

Completely agree. Don't need to be just steady to get in our 17, same with Lauaki for me. You can get workhorses who can also break a line who aren't a fortune

If I was trying to improve an awful team like Widnes and was making some big signings Brown and Tickle certainly wouldnt be them. They are not going to improve Widnes an awful lot imo.

The deals they've offered them take up a substantial amount of cap. Brown is well into the £100K - £150K range whilst Tickle's is £150K+. They also offered £120K to Matty Smith which was turned down. Madness really.

Also looks like Meli will be going that way next season.

Is he off contract or are Saints getting rid? Losing him and Shenton will be a good bit of business and allow you to rebuild your backline, which is your big weakness imo.

OOC. Shenton is the only in contract player we have parted with so far. Although, I know Brown wouldn't pass up the chance to send Perry home early and bring in a replacement.

If I was the owner of a club that had enjoyed some significant success in recent years, what I'd do is I'd offer players somewhat lower deals on their wages, staying significantly below the salary cap, with the promise of very rewarding incentives for those who play in winning games, and further lucrative rewards for those who play in more significant winning games such as play-offs and finals (having factored all this into the season's salary cap calculations).
Somebody should mention this idea to Mr Lenegan.
