"I've got one word for you Mr Chairman - Penalty Count"
I've got one word for you all......Steve Hanley
Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"

I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

RIVERCAVE DWELLER OF THE YEAR 2015!

"The club used you last night and didn't tell the truth."

Officially one of the 119 Mugs used by the club

Latics fans quite rightly feel angry at how this has come about. It sounds dodgy as.

Wonder who the 10 people are who will be invited to the Zoom call?
Would love to have some eyes/ears in there.

When you say

"Latics fans quite rightly feel angry at how this has come about. It sounds dodgy as"

Are you referring to the original placement into administration or what the administrators have done throughout that process?

If it's the former then I'm not sure why? They were losing best part of 15million a year, you may question why they bought it because those loses had been building and it would have been in the books but if your losing that much it's no surprise they want to drop it asap.

If it's the latter, I'd be Interested to know why you feel Latics fans would be aggrieved at what the administrators have done?

You're correct. However all this anger should be thrown in the direction of the previous owners. They've been sold down the river.

News on the stadium has yet to be confirmed, assume this will happen after tomorrows press conference. If (as expected) IL is to takeover the ownership then I expect a full and detailed plan of his objectives, he has no hatred of the football club do I see no surprises at all. Latics will play out of the stadium in League One when the new season starts allowing them to consolidate and build from there.

Assuming any new buyer at all is identified ....
They're not really an attractive investment proposition and even the crowd funding activities aren't exactly raking it in.

I’m pretty sure if Lenagan does buy the stadium that he must have some assurance Latics will survive. Many of the Latics fans are making him out to be a vulture yet any move to buy the ground will help Latics survive because it sounds like there’s no buyer for the club prepared to stump up for the stadium as well as the team and it’s other assets. Lenagan is a businessman and he will absolutely need Latics playing at the stadium to make it work and they’ll lose nothing but the overheads of running the stadium in this deal. I support both clubs and don’t really care who owns the stadium, I just want to have both clubs playing under the same roof and working closely together. The division I see between both sets of supporters is pretty sad, especially at a time like this when there really are bigger things to worry about.

I imagine the only changes we'll see are there will be more rugby internationals and CC semi-finals played at New Central Park, possibly a couple of rounds of behind closed doors fixtures and that statue of Whelan will find an alternative location.

Oh, and the new Tenants will change their fixture date if there's a clash.

Dont see why the Latics fans are against Lenegan he was a director of the Latics at one point.

A section are anti anything Wigan rugby league related and because of that are viewing Lenagan as the devil. He was interested in trying to buy the club but can’t afford it on his own and it doesn’t look like he could get a consortium together. Nobody will buy the club lock, stock and barrel, so he has seemingly sold a stake in the rugby to fund the purchase of the stadium, a purchase that could both help Latics find a buyer and safeguard their future at the stadium. We can’t kid ourselves that he hasn’t seen an opportunity to get the ground on the cheap but the alternative may have been Latics folding and then who knows what the future would mean for the rugby and the use of the stadium.

Simply, because they have no comprehension of the role of administrators. This then plays into the paranoid delusions they hold about being oppressed for decades by the Rugby/Council/EFL/Administrators/Media/Football in general.

You mean the sale when IEC in effect sold it to a stooge?

NOT

What is currently happening with the administrators?
