After seeing a rumour about Wigan’s possible interest in St. George’s half back Jamie Soward, I thought I would checkout a bit more about him, this guy looks like he could fit the bill for us. He’s got speed to burn and a good passing and kicking brain, also he is a top goal kicker, check this out on You Tube.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1oPABOWcAgwouldn't mind if the rumours were true. Fielden been offered a 2 year deal at Wakefield for next season. I'd release him. His best years are behind him and we have good young props to fill the void. Certainly more than managed this year without him.

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

Just don't need him, coped for ages without him. He is probably one of our highest earners as well.

I don't think he can come back and be as good as Prescott and Mossop though. Just don't need him, coped for ages without him. He is probably one of our highest earners as well. And from recent stories I've heard regarding his attitude he certainly doesn't fit the Wigan way and the culture the club are trying to breed

Certainly more than managed this year without him. In our glory days of the 80s and 90s we had a policy of moving players on when their best years were behind them - even the great Eleery Hanley. Guess what? The younger players filled the void and maintained our dominance. History needs to repeat itself.

According to the man in the corner shop Soward is a Wigan player next season  Probably slightly more reliable than say the daily star.
