From the bits I have seen of him this year he is still playing well. His body must be standing up well also hence his reason for continuing. He could probably do two years in SL nut only one in the NRL. His age according to Wikipedia is 32.

In this morning's League Weekly it is suggested Rangi Chase may be sacked if he is found guilty of breeching Castleford's disciplinary rules.
If this happened and he was available without a fee being payable does anyone think we should sign him?
Talented man but those who have off field problems at one club tend to take their issues with them when they move.
Is he worth the risk?

You'd have to consider him on a free.

Baggage or not, he's a good player.

Chase on a free ??? given out current situation in the halves id have him in a shot. Wane would het him in line. Lets face it, who would mess with Wane. ANother thought as well, with the news coming out of Bradford today and the increasing liklihood of liquidation Tom Burgess till the end of the year with an option of a second year wouldnt be a bad shout. I know hes been vocal in his desire to go to the NRL but taking him for the rest of the season would be a cracking bit of business

Not a cat in hells chance Chase will be sacked. If he was a poor player they were desperate to get out the door then no doubt he'd be binned in a flash but Cas aren't going to flush a few hundred grand down the pan.

The best any club could hope for would be them getting a few quid knocked off his price tag.

I would still not be surprised if someone has had a word in Chase's ear about misbehaving.

Chase won't be sacked, if they do want rid of him they will keep him registered until they get a fee of some kind.
