Mentioned Holdsworth earlier in this thread, I really rate him controls the game decent kicking game strong defence, lacks pace but still an excellent player.

I remember us being heavily linked with Holdsworth when he was still at Canterbury about 3 years back and the board nearly went in to meltdown as he was being bagged grand style by the Bulldogs fans on the Kennel forum!

I don't know if it's because superleagues weak or he's improved as a player but he's always looked a real class act over here. He's not in the class of Finch but he's that type of scheming halfback and he's probably the halfback most suited to our style of play from the ones linked so far (although I appreciate he's not really been linked yet).

He's a decent age to allow us to blood Williams and Hampshire as well. He's not too old nor too young that he'll hold them back.

Has Sean O'Loughlin signed a new deal yet? Hearing rumours of South Sydney Rabbitohs again. Aswell as Sam Moa, Tom Burgess and Lee Mossop

Holdsworth and Smith have both matured and improved this year. If you look at the way they play and the lines they run I think it is clear to see both have benefitted from having Sean Long at the club.

The Smith - Holdsworth - Patten link works superbly for Salford's attack.
I don't know whether its the coaching or that those three just "click", but its a joy to watch. Especially when they're through Warrington!

With all due respect to Holdsworth and Smith Patten is the gem in that triangle .

After Sam, imo, he's the best FB in SL.

A very underrated player who I'm very shocked wasn't the starting FB in the exiles games .
