... and then became reincarnated as 'Richie Mathers' circa 2008
Whoever suggested the game that ended mathers' career was the wakey one?! The game that should have ended his career was millenium magic last year...yet we had a spineless coach who continued to let him off and forget his failings!!
At least it only took the wigan coach in 1997 6 games to realise murry was woeful....its taken the current one 'a season and a half not out' with mathers!
Though it is official...mathers is better than murry.......as that link proves murry never scored for wigan...mathers has ONE try so must be better
He's scored two mate. The lads World Class I tell thee
Moran played Full back against us in the 75-0 game and had an absolute nightmare. I have never seen a guy look so fed up walking back to the kick off from behind the posts after some of the stick he was getting from a group of Saints Lads.
I remember his try he got against Wakefield in the Challenge Cup, chipped through, picked it up and scored under the posts, with his 'up yours' body language to the Wigan fans (who'd been given him serious grief for weeks). A mere 7 games later he was gone.

What was it with Moran at Wigan? He did well at the Harlequins/Bronocs/whatever they are under now! Was it that he couldn't take the pressure at a massive club, didn't fit the play, alleged off field activities, or a combination of them all?
I think Moran gets a lot of undue stick, I think Wigan just used him in completely the wrong way and expecting him to create plays when, largely, he's the chap who has the talent to finish them off.
He certainly had his moments last season when he turned out for us and won a couple of games single-handedly, but I think the injuries had certainly kicked in by the end of the season.

We all have to support a Lesser team in One Sport don't we? Means we enjoy the success more for our other team! Im guessing you must be a Man U fan in football?
