Worst idea you've ever come up with, don't think Roberts at centre would work. Doesn't seem big enough or powerful enough or even have the quality passing skills to be a centre.
Beg to differ here, whenever Roberts has drifted across and passed he has shown he has great passing skills, I'm sure I remember a few bullets right on the mark. He is a quick finisher, but I do not think he would suppliment either Richards or Ainscough, as their styles of play do not match very well, unlike that of say Carmont and Richards.
Which is why if Carmont wanted a two year deal, I would be very tempted to do so, however a contract that gives him one year with the option of either another year playing if both sides agree or some sort of coaching role to help bring through Goulding/Thornley/Pryce if he is not playing, would be preferable, as he over the past two years has shown up most Superleague centres, and I would rather we kept that ability and expertese with us than let it go elsewhere.
