Probably not the time to call it now, he deserves till the end of the season, but I have huge doubts about Matty Peet.

I’m more convinced than ever that French and Field do not work in their current roles.

We desperately need a 6.

Their pace is terrifying to defences but our lack of a proper 6 is killing our attack.

Standard Wigan performance at Wakey though. Lacked enthusiasm and desire.

1 eye on the semi which really isn’t good enough.

Nsemba Miski and King leave the field with some credit, not many others do.

You really felt we were 'back' last season. It was easy going to games on the whole and enjoyable. We were very easy on the eye and won the Challenge Cup but fell short in the play offs. You felt that was a good starting block and one to build on ready for this season with better centres, our young pack a year older etc. but we've regressed this season. It's quite clear. There may be many reasons for this but the most obvious one to me seems to be Lee Briers moving to the NRL and we just haven't really put it together all year thus far.

It needs figuring out and quickly. There's no guarantee we will make the play-offs based on this inconsistency and how tight the league is currently from 2nd down to say 7th or 8th.

Cust and Mago will go down as two of our worst overseas signings and we’ve had plenty failures. I was hopeful the good weather would see us click, it’s all that seemed to be talked about in the early part of the season but we are nothing in the grand scheme of things when it comes to making an impact in October when it’s wet.

In his first season Cust was favourite for mos and you all lapped it up (check the posts when he first signed) those of us that actually know rugby league laughed our heads off.

Not yet. Not even close for me. He had too much to fix too soon. Next season is his team. We aren't Warrington or Leeds who chop coaches and send their sides into freefall. Let him get his forwards in and see where we go from there.

So is it the case that MP figures he has a few weeks to see if Field 1 and French 6 gel better, or should we expect changes sooner? We need a settled spine at the business end of the season.

Lee Briers is a huge miss. He is doing very well down under by all reports. I hope Wane brings him into the England setup. I think our coaching staff could use that fresh set of eyes again from outside the club. What are Peet, Lockers and Leuluai going to bring new to the club… as much as we all love them! Briers transformed our attack last season.

Biggest test of Peet these next few weeks. A few bad results and we are out the cup and languishing outside the play offs…

Not sure it's anything to do with the semi final. Felt like a standard Wakey away performance.

Not sure if we change our preparations because of the "facilities" but for some reason we seem to really struggle there in pretty much every aspect of the game.
