how do you know holdsworth wouldn't do one if a NRL club came calling. there is no comparision in this Soward is a far better player than Holdsworth.
soward has shown he can defended and very well, he did a very good job against in the WCC. passing game is qaulity, running game is qaulity, kicking game is qaulity. the only thing that lets him down is drifting out of matches but i dont think it will happen with our structers and in superleague
how do you know Smith, Charnley & Farrell won't go?, a British player has to be something special to go over there, Holdsworth, who i think would be a great signing for us doesn't have that bit of magic that the Aussies look for in a British player IMO, not many do, hence the small number of British stars in the NRL, Soward on the other hand comes from the NRL and most probably would want to finish his career there, he will be 28 next season and i couldn't see us keeping him for more than 2 seasons if he did come, sod that let's have some stability and have a half back pairing that will be together for at least 4 seasons, it hasn't done Leeds any harm
this is a double blooper. holdsworth is an aussie mate so if he started to shine at wigan he could be on hes way back to aus. Also thanks for supporting my view on soward he is a qaulity player and thats why he got hes call up to NSW in last years origin, so all in i would say Soward would be the better signing. but i do agree with you that we do need to keep the core players for some stability but it wont happen at wigan because any half decent player comes up the union lot will start tapping them up. hopefully hampshire will make the step up in the next 2 years and stick around for awhile.
