I have said this for a long time. Hansen and Farrell work hard but havent got a pass or offload between them. Hoffman is a very good player but in many ways is just the same as these but a much better version. we definately need someone who can provide something different in the second row.

same for the halves we need 1 strike runner along side an organiser.

I know Feka has taken a slating in his time but he was made for days like today, that bit of something different would have served us well in the final third of the pitch.

I know what you mean jon, but I'm unsure that Lauaki is the answer. We'll certainly benefit from having Hock on board next year. That's if he get's his mentality right first.

I've discussed with you before of what a fan I am of having contrasting styles at HB. And I'm afraid at present Finch and Deacon are both playing the same role. Hopefully Mellor can come in next year and offer that elusive pacy runner that were missing so badly in the halves.

So Sam Powell (U'20s player of the year) is ahead of Mellor who has been putting decent performances against matured players in the Championship?

Surely if Powell is ready then he will be next in line to be loaned out for 12 months?

Different style of players, i think Mellor is a line breaker and Powell more of an organiser and rugged defender. I hope both players get a chance next season.

Chase would certainly be the spark we need in the backs.

Personally id like to see us sign another top class winger and line up like this:

Sam
NEW WINGER
Charnley
George
Pat
CHASE?
Finch

Joel isn't a centre, and we need him back in the pack to replace Hoffman next year. Goulding/Marsh are obviously only ever going to be cover players, and we are wasting a worrying amount on Roberts.

I think we those changes and Joel back to the pack, we would look alot more balanced next year.

Yep.

Finch and Deacon are (usually) very good at setting up our plays, but we need another dimension from the halves.
