Still got that shirt in my collection.
One of my faves actually.
And it was cherry n white. Ok, not exactly hoops. Give you that.
But i dont see too much in the way of cherry n pink in it???
And i think thats the point 99.9% of people are trying to make on this thread.

the success we had in that shirt is what made you love it..Design wise it was horrific

and if were celebrating a world club challenge and a GF win we'll love it just as much.

Having seen the shirt in Wigan I can confirm it looks worse in real life

It's not bloody rocket science.


This is the quintessential Wigan shirt.



All they have to do is alter it around the margins every season, keeping to the basic underlying theme and they are onto a winner.

Then every say 4 years replace it with something like this:



How difficult can it be?

And then they come out with stuff like 'in a break with tradition' as if that's a positive, go ahead move from people in the know whilst everyone who disagrees is some kind of Luddite.

You can't dismiss tradition. It's one of the cornerstones upon which all great clubs are built. Once you start chipping away at it you weaken the brand.

Time for the club to instigate some sort of damage limitation exercise here and ditch this effort. Bring back the hoops.
