From what i hear we wanted him to head up the youth academy but he wanted 1 more season. We now have a bit of strength in depth as he wont be 1st choice with Tickle, Westerman, Ellis and Whiting in the back row and he will be a good mentor for the youth players coming through

I've heard both rumours from Humberside and from a mate who usually knows his stuff, that we have stepped up our chase for Hull KR's young prop Scott Taylor after apparently really impressing SW all season and recently in our game against them. Apparently, meeting with his representative soon to have talks regarding a move. He turned down the offer of a new contract from KR last year as he wanted to see what offers came around at the end of this season so no compensation would be needed

he has 1 year left on contract, would mean a fee. rumour also on our other forum, he had a meeting at ferrybridge services today -

can't see us keeping hold of him, will be sold IMO.

Hull could release Tickle to Widnes now that they have signed Galea. Tickle is leaving at the end of his contract regardless and you could get a fee for him now rather than have him leave for nothing in 12 months.
