| If Taylor ends up at Salford for 2015 then this whole saga has been a complete joke. His form dipped and he played himself out of our first choice 17 and threw away any chance of an international call up. All this was because he supposedly wanted to move to Hull, who either wont pay a large enough fee or can't fit him under the cap. A one year deal at either hudds or leeds seemed likely then at least he have a closer commute, but Salford? Surely he could have kept his eye on the ball and kept playing his best rugby at Wigan until 2016. I think he's a cracking prop but he's going a long way to committing career suicide IMO.

By about 10 miles - at this rate he'll get back to Hull just as he's about to retire.
What a prat.

It's hardly suicide when your coach refuses to play him because he wants to leave for personal reasons. More like career assassination I'd have said but who'd expect anything else from wane?

Taylor played 27 times in 2014, from about July onwards his form was awful and players like Clubb and Crosby were playing well and he was squeezed out of the 17. Nothing to do with Wane "refusing to play him". Taylor may have personal reasons why he wants to go back to Hull, but by the looks of it that's going to be via 12 months at Salford and he's not going to get to hull until 2016. I really don't think there is any blame on SW or the Wigan clubs part tbh.

None of us know what's gone on behind the scenes but it seems likely that his drop in form had something to do with whatever disagreement he had atthe club at the time

If you're admitting you don't know what's going on, how can you say that "something seems likely"?
At the end of the day, if a guy isn't producing the goods and/or doesn't want to be at a club - for whatever reason - what is that club to do? They might as well send him on his way and replace him with someone who does want to be there.

| I think if we're being honest it's fairly obvious him being dropped had more to do with him not wanting to be here than his form. He would have been in ahead of Pettybourne and Crosby on merit.

What a ridiculous post. If you are picking a team, why pick someone who wants away, if you've got other lads who are desperate to play?
Why blame Shaun Wane? And as for career assassination, don't make me laugh. He was plucked from obscurity by SW and given his chance to play for the greatest team in the country. He then proceeds to chuck it back in Wane's face.
Shaun Wane made him into the player he is - a dammed good prop.
