I’d love for us to dangle the carrot of Lam taking over full time and see how the players react. Do they believe in his methods and do they want him to coach them long term? Looking at them so far you’d say no chance but with that uncertainty lifted or partially lifted, maybe they’ll rise to the chance of getting it settled longer term in Lams favour.

I have to say though I’m far from convinced but would love to be wrong.

Shaun Wane had a distinct ability to eek out every inch of effort in the team but now that shield has been taken away we are seeing the mentallity level from our squad. I said a couple of weeks ago that at some point the players have to take responsibility and a personal pride must kick in. They know they can do better but don't seem like they want to. Maybe Lam is too soft. Either way, scrap the Edwards thing. I couldn't care less if he is a legend or not. Not heard a squeak out of him for 20 years and now all this. Let him carry on in RU and never invite him back to the stadium again. The club and fans are far more important than a trouble making mickey pot from Standish. Move on. Get behind Lam.

Until the final pass for Yaha he was pretty good but not fantastic by any stretch. We could really do with him at seven alongside Hardaker and Williams but the club was never going to pay 300k a season to keep him as a game managing half and not the marauding, game changing full back he used to be.

There is no way on this earth Shaun Edwards would have done the press conference at Wigan last August had he not already agreed length and terms of contract .

I'd be surprised if Barratt was here as coach. Didn't he and IL have a fall out after a home loss to Hudds?
It would surprise me if Barratt coached here.

Don't get me wrong would love him to turn it around but so far not even a flicker of a thinker or an innovator. If we get spanked by Salford which is a distinct possibility then I'd say if SE doesn't come the club will get shut pretty quickly
