| He's already a good player and will improve with more experience.
Big, mobile and can run hard. A good signing and whatever we've paid it could well turn out to be value for money.
Our front row now really has some size to it.
Taylor 6'4", Prescott 6'3", Mossop 6'4" together with Lauaki and Dudson both over 6' is excellent.
Also I noticed at the awards dinner when Crosby was talking to Gaz Hock, Crosby was taller than Hock so he must be a fair size too.
With Spencer and Burke who are hardly small, behind those guys, we have a front row that could do us very well for some years.

| A uk based club bidding for Mose Masoe would love that to be us. That would give us a real enforcer at 6'4" and nearly 20 stone. He is being released by the Roosters. 3 NRL clubs also in for him according to the article I read.
He would kill it as an impact forward in SL.

I seen that on the Leeds forum and watched some clips of him online.....a beast of a bloke that's for sure.
As much as i'd like another forward my first priority would be an outside back to add some competition first and foremost. If we play Gelling at left centre that leaves us with Thornley and Murphy to back up the rest of the lads. I don't think that's enough as after that who would we be looking at now Marsh, Russell and King have gone? I'd guess next in line is Burgess or Tierney but they're very young.

Size wise he's not the same looking at him on the internet clips i've seen. He's taller and more athletic but those few minute clips are literally all I know about him.

| At 23 he's hardly the experienced head people have been saying we need for the front row. FWIW I think that'll be it now as far as recruitment goes. We'll have Mossop, Prescott, Taylor, Dudson, Flower and Lauaki fighting for 4/5 places with Crosby, Spencer and Burke used if/when necessary.
It is a young set of props but there is still plenty of experience, though we do need to get a good injury-free season out of both Prescott and Mossop. Looking at Bilkos team sheet page they only got 4 games together this season!

Agreed, since Maguire left some players improved e.g. Farrell, Goulding, Mickey whereas some I feel went backwards e.g. Mossop, Prescott (although injured a lot so a bit unfair) and Lima. Make or break for Mossop because Hill has already proven himself to be better at the current time so if he wants to be in the England fold alongside Graham, Burgess, Hill etc he needs to have a big year

| He has just signed for Wakefield of all clubs. Why weren't we in for him? Only 27, been there and done it at Origin level and would be a great leader to our young pack. Can't see why we didn't try and get him

Well if we were and we got beaten by Wakefield for his signature I'd be worried as we should have plenty of cap space. He'd have been ideal!

| Why do people seem to think we have so much cap left for another prop!? I make it 9 in the first team now plus the options of moving hock and Hansen forward if we get really desperate. As it stands it is likely 2 first team props are going to miss out when all are fit so why would we bring in another? An experienced "enforcer" would be nice, but it's a luxury that just isn't feasible with the salary cap!

| Poore is no leader and whilst a good player offers little we do not already have. He is not an enforcer type player and whilst experienced does not bring leadership to the table.
I am sure he will go well and will be an asset to Wakefield, but simply because he has an Sustralian accent and once played Origin does not mean he should be snapped up by us.

| He's even more injury prone than the props we already have, he'd have been a risky signing.

| I question whether people watch the NRL regularly. Poore nearly quit the his playing career just last season as he didn't think he was going to make a full comeback. He was a big prop on the rise in his career, hence his origin cap, but that's all in the past.
Ask yourself this, if he was a fantastic prospect would he be living the NRL for Wakey? No.

| I actually think the best obtainable players are within our own Super League. Top NRL players aren't going to sign, neither or Union players.
If we were going to break the bank or make a marquee signing, I'd sooner it be on a SL 'name'.

But just maybe Wigan did look at him and either said no, or more likely said he's worth a contract of £X and no more. Wakefield however, may have been willing to take the risk and pay him £Y.
I know previously IL has said "That's the max we will pay for certain players when they were available"
Wigan will only pay what THEY think the player is worth, not our (supporters) valuation.
Just check out Scott Taylors statement after signing for Wigan.

| I don't understand why some fans still seem to regard every overseas player who signs for someone else as a missed opportunity.
Clubs like Wakey are full of players like Poore, and it never makes any difference to them. They still finish at the lower end of the table.
While, on the surface of it, our own recruitment doesn't seem to be hugely adventurous, perhaps we ought to give the club some credit. We finished first last season. We must have done something right.
