Didn't hear many people complaining when Hughes and Burke left.The pack was the same size last year and did fine,it's only now where struggling that this notion that we need a team full of giants has come about,they have to be good enough,our best player this season is probably our most undersized for that position(Bateman) so this makes a mockery of this concept.

That's a bit generalist isn't it.

Bateman might have been our player of the season so far but:

1 - He's hardly has competition for this 'title'

2 - He's got rightful praise for being arguably our only creative spark, he's not getting the praise for leading the pack around the filed like Cuthbertson is doing for Leeds etc.

By your logic if we had a pack full of Batemans we'd be ok. In reality you need a good mixture of size, silk and grunt and we don't seem to have that.

I agree the pack did well last year and i'm hoping that Flower will bring some go forward with him whilst at the same time Lockers will add another creative edge.

Others have suggested we are in the dog relegation dog fight which is a little OTT and wide of the mark. We should looking at the other squads i'd say Saints, Leeds and Wire are top three and we should be just behind them in fourth.

Dane Nielson and Jorge Taffua stood down and facing the bullet from their respective clubs. Again I would hope we are keeping a close eye on that but probably not.

Both pretty ordinary. And I don't like the idea that SL will take any wife-beating or drug-taking miscreant that the NRL won't put up with. At least with Todd Carney you could argue that he's an exceptional talent.

Ordinary? They would kill it in SL. Nielson not long ago was a SoO rep centre.

They have been stood down for fighting on a night out. To be honest if you stood down SL players for that the fields would be pretty empty.

NRL players are under the microscope SL aren't.
