Our average attendance last year was one of the highest we have had, even including the glory years, so the amount of people watching Wigan isnt a concern. Grand finals always attract way more supporters than other games. A rough estimate was that we took 30000? to old trafford, over 20000 have been sold so far for Sunday, granted not all from Wigan. Maybe some dont want to pay or cant, for a ticket that is in some areas, nearly twice the price they normally are at the DW. Though i would be more than willing to pay for a WCC ticket every season

im not disputing that fella, i agree with what your saying, honestly! if only the rest of your fans had as much sense as you do!

You took 30k to Wembley but had less than 10K HOME fans in the ground yesterday...thats surely a worry isnt it?

heres the answer to your question.....

yesterday was a home game after a very poor opener, a lot of our "glory hunter" fans wont have bothered! simple as!

id be more fearful that your glory hunters arent turning up to see a game of such great magnitude rather than ours not turning up to see HKR!

Doesn't look like a sell-out anymore now. RFL have released tickets to Wigan. Prices only needed to be 5-10 quid lower and it was a certain sell-out!

Will look pretty terrible with so many empty seats.

This isn't the RFL's fault mate. Seventeen years since our last WCC appearance and we couldn't sell out. Think you should be looking closer to home if you really want to blame someone.

I disagree in the sense that 7:15pm on a Sunday Night is a pissflap time to be playing such a big game. It is the worst slot they could have picked. Saturday Night 6pm ish and I reckon this game would have already be pretty much sold out already. Finishing about 9:15pm neutrals have to get back to Yorkshire, Cumbria wherever near to 11pm with work next day! It's idiotic!

Would that not be down to Sky though? One mate who is a season ticket holder is unable to go as he'd have to leave five minutes before the end to get to work.
Will that many really be coming from Cumbria? It's a sad day when you're relying on Yerkshiremen ;)
Agree 100% that a Saturday evening kick off would have been ideal but as I've said I'd say that wasn't the RFL's decision.
Managed to get the Monday of work so I'll be making the trip over from Catalonia.

Well in fairness to the RFL they were stuffed by Latics playing on the Saturday but did it have to be so much set in stone that it got played this weekend?

Bang on. I reckon any reasonable kick off time on a Saturday would of sold out by now. Friday night would have probably sold better too imo.

Probably not many will come from Cumbria because it's on a Sunday. But if it was played on a Saturday I think far more neutrals would flood here. I mean I remember going to Leeds v Canterbury on a Friday Night at Elland Road in 2005 and stayed over in Leeds City Centre, I certainly wouldn't have done that on a Sunday Night!

We weren't the ones waving a 'Challenge Cup' flag at Cardiff.
We weren't the ones singing 'Wem-ber-ley, Wem-ber-ley' also at Cardiff for most of our match, even though it was a non Challenge Cup tie.
