I think with our best 17 we would give you a good game and probably win it. But with us missing Fusitua, Newman, Handley, Martin and Gannon and Mik and Sezer doubtful we are going to struggle.
Don’t talk about missing players on here, it’s not allowed pal. . It ceased to have any impact on team performance the day Jai Field returned.
I think Wigan will have too much tomorrow but Leeds will approach the game with plenty of gusto and it should be a good one to watch. In fact, should be two cracking games this weekend (unlike the first weekend sadly).

And the day French returned...and the day Tommy returned...and the day Cust returned...and the day....
Well, I'm sure you get the point. We all have injuries mate.

Yes,but all our injuries are to average players in a average team.None what are deemed not good enough to get in the Saints team, except Faz who could get on the subs bench, who as it stands is injured,we really are screw*d now.
All of their injuries are to international and fantastic players, how the hell did we knock them out of the CC when they had players like Makinson (golden boot),Walmsley,Percival, etc etc etc.
Like the look of that bench having two Byrne's in there but i assume you meant Singo starting
Just hope we can get through it and Saints can find some good old British stiff upper lip Dunkirk mentality to get through their 'crisis' and set up the final.
Unbelievable arrogance. Anywhere near a full strength team and you'd be desperately hoping to avoid us. Now with some injuries, you are suddenly desperate to play us.
Be careful what you wish for.
Yes Stu, it was indeed a sarcastic comment. You seem quite intelligent so surprised you missed that one. We haven't mentioned our injuries and have just got on with it as we have done for the past few seasons but the saints fans have made a point of coming over here to let us know that you are missing a few and it would take a Goliath effort to beat us. It's pitiful seeing the saints fans squirming around for the faintest excuse to be honest and are making out that you are the West Wales Raiders going up against Penrith. Rotate your squad like the rest of us do.
And yes I want Saints in the final, I want your best 17 if possible because that's the match we want but we won't get the best 17 as you won't get ours either. The only arrogance is in your own post by suggesting we would want to avoid you if you had full strength. I'd expect the majority on here want to play saints at full strength, just so there is no excuses but you will find something I'm sure. The problem with Saints is you simply cannot be beaten by a better team can you? A heavily weakened league the last few seasons, playing the COVID card, not having any injuries etc etc etc, see how easy it is. We battered you in the CC and we battered you a few weeks ago, if you batter us in a GF then fair play, it will be deserved but I'm pretty sure nobody is afraid of playing you.
Some definition of a battering that mate Dread to think what the game at Saints was if that was a pasting!
Anyway - my view for this week has always been that if our injuries stop at Grace/Dodd/Walmsley/Hopoate (ie we get Percy/Matautia back and don't lose any more) I'll be very confident.
Based on the squad named we are indeed now back down to those four key absentees (I'm not counting peple like Norman). As a result it's the best and most balanced squad we've been able to name for a long time. On the flip side, there is the worry that after not playing for so long Percy might break down - we've been there before!
I think that side will get the job done. If they do, it will be about who made it through unscathed for both sides in the final. Would be interesting whether Hopoate would have a chance of playing, he doesn't seem to have been ruled out by Woolf for the season yet.

If that is the Saints team on Saturday I would certainly be looking to target Percival. Being out of action for so long will certainly mean his energy levels are likely to be limited and his game will be very rusty. I can’t see Makinson fielding many kicks. Otherwise, the Saints team looks very strong.
