Just register him anyway subject to work permits.

Wouldn't count on the cap unless he was cleared to sign for the club.

Like I said, I heard early on in the season that he was off home at the end of the season but since then Tommy himself has quashed the rumour and Ian Lenegan announced at the last fans forum that he had extended his contract. I know its possible that players change their mind or circumstances change etc but Lenegan doesn't strike me as the kind of person that would lie to the fans.

Wigan is a great club and it's a privilege to play with them and play hard for them. I'm off contract next year so we'll see what happens then."
