Having listened to the thoughts of the footie show last week, if he can focus on footie rather than drink, he will be a champion. Despite his recent 'problems', several of the NRL clubs were very interested in making room under the salary cap for him. If this is true it will make up for the other two signings, Daffyd and the one nobody can spell. Please be true, and is he doing anything this weekend?

Another era, I know, but they were all 'nobodies' when Wigan signed them, and not all in the first flush of youth. They went on to become stars, or at the very least to hold their own comfortably in a great side.

So we have to go that far back to name a 'project' signing that has worked. I don't even think I was even around when any of those players were first signed - perhaps Terry O'Connor. However all this does is just further illustrate my point. These 'project' signings people go on about have not worked under Ian Lenagan. That's not say one wont work, however the merits of signing a 27 year old quota player as a 'project' signing is going to come under some scrutiny.

...Andy Coley was one in my opinion. That turned out ok.
