Depending on the Sarginsson situation I feel the only player we need to replace in the squad is Patrick who must be out of the door given how poor he has been.

I don't usually go for players who can drift between Prop and backrow but given the balance of the squad I'd personally hope we target that type of player, one pre requisite however is that they add real natural size to the pack.

Either that or we play Tautai in the utility forward role and go for an out and out Prop.

I'd be surprised if Hughes returned.
He's starting every week at Hudds and won't do that here being behind Joel, Faz and Bateman for a starting spot.

Patrick will surely be let go and my target to replace him would be another Huddersfield player in Ukuma Ta'ai. I'm sure I read he was out of contract at the end of this season and he's exactly the type of forward who I think could really add something to our pack.

There's been times when we've needed a forward that can really bust teams outwide and open up a tight game and that guy would add it.

Amongst the centres I've always liked young Ricky Leutele.

I'm not sure what it is with him but I have never been keen on Ta'ai. He does make an impact when he hits the line and he can definitely slip an offload out but, for me, he looks lethargic at times and even occasionally just downright disinterested. Definite improvement on Patrick though he may be, I'd rather look else where for an addition to our current prop roster.

You've enquired about Paul Gallen but he wants big big money. Maybe now the marquee rule is approved it might be possible.
