Despite the win (and a terrific win it was), the game tonight again highlighted we're crying out for a couple of bigger forwards.

Correct, Mossop & Patrick are still a couple of wet paper bags.
Joel ....well he was rank poor for me tonight. Mickey Mac playing the full 80 made a difference but jeez...he should have passed that ball to Williams, that was the game changer!

I saw it as great full back play from Watkins personally.

To their credit, I did think Mossop, Patrick and co tried very hard and the number of hitups seemed to be far greater than usual. But as for impact and meters gained, it was still a big struggle and too much of a reliance on throwing the ball around in our own 20 to get forward.

Patrick was ok and Mossop but a bit more in but still not good enough.

As for Tautai, I've never seen a player look as tired after a minute on the field! He got so lucky with the disallowed Leeds try fir crossing because his defence was frankly laughable in the build up.

A few decent runs a game can't mask the liability that he is IMO.

Yeah slight improvement in the forwards (picking & choosing games)? Yet again Sarginson got stick in the stands but boy...he puts himself about that lad!

Like the others Clubb doesn't take the ball up much but he spends his energy in defence! He was everywhere and let's the opposition know they're in for a tough time.

If it's tactical for our backs and back rowers to do the donkey work with the ball then the other props need to follow that lead.

I thought both teams were poor.
We play like an U9's team.
In the first 5 minutes on our own line Sarginson came over from the left to virtually the right wing to take the ball in. Incredible.
Sorry for being negative but I thought last nights game showed just how poor the game is.
I left with 15 minutes to go when I think it was Williams threw out an exceptionally bad pass to Sarginson and thought that just about summed us up and I thought I would sooner go for a pint than continue watching poor skill levels from both sides.
I have never in nearly 50 years of watching the team done that before even when we have had good shallackings.
I don't want to talk about Tomkins.......
