I don't follow the NRL but I believe that he has a serious injury at the moment? The deal is for a coaching role but will be extended to cover playing if he can prove his fitness.
A good move for me as we are weak on hooker options and if Waterworth does come through the ranks this could possibly reduce the need to speed him through to the first team.

So if Bridge is going elsewhere (phew!), and Thornley is on his way (don’t know this for sure, but people seem to be saying it), and Sarge looks almost certain to go, we are surely in the market for at least one centre. It's bad enough having Gelling and Sarge, but Gelling and Joel would be a true nightmare.

If this is the case I'd like to see us bring in someone with class and experience from the NRL until Gildart is ready. If only we could find another George Carmont.

I'd like us to get someone younger than Carmont (and I'm not sure there's any Carmont equivalents around in the NRL now anyway. Except Jamie Lyon, perhaps? ) . Don't know about Runciman, but someone like either of the two Sharks centres, Leutele and Feki. Both are fast, strong, with good handling skills.

He scored a couple of good tries for St George last weekend and can play centre or wing. Rumour has it that he is headed over here to Superleague, so could be a good fit.
