How many have been Sold? Have you read my previous replies? Can you not work out whether I Disagree or not from them? If you can't I suggest you read a bit more carefully?
Am I happy with an Average Derby Crowd? Well I'm certainly not sat Here crying my eyes out over it like some! Especially when no-one knows what's Been sold?
As for Average Derby Crowd, is that Average for last year derby Crowd or Average say 5/10 years ago when twice in 1 season we didn't break 15,000? Then only just got past 15k in the League the year after.
Why? Who's said they're not buying a ticket for what You regard as The biggest game of the season? I'm pretty sure I haven't seen many on here saying there not going?
You then say "I don't think we can make a call on that untill the day, we have no idea how many tickets the RFL might not have sold"! I think you may want to review your outlook on a few things, "Pretty fed up with the attitude of RL Fans" etc
Did you go EVERY GAME last year? Or the Year Before? Why Not?
You have just blown this up huge...
All I am saying is that why do RL fans constantly say its the greatest game but don't buy the tickets, its a problem with more than just this one game. As for people saying they are not buying a ticket, I havn't heard many people say that but a lot more people went to the GF so why are they not willing to part with the cash for this game?
I am certainly not 'crying my eyes out' but as a fan of the club I a quite concerned we can't sell-out for a game this big, I am shocked you don't seem all that bothered with an ok crowd.
The reason I said we can't make a call on it untill the day is because we don't know how many have been sold, what we do know is that it is not a sell-out, it is currently around 2,500 from a sell-out. It could be more than that as we don't know what the RFL have sold. We definantly know it isn't less than that.
I didn't go to every game last year I fail to see how that makes a difference in what has been said.
I also fail to see how you can be happy with the crowd so far after we took many more than that to OT, this game is on our doorstep.
Finally, yes the attitude of RL fans is poor, if the fans bought into the RFL's concepts more than the game would be much better off, I suppose the answer is finding why they don't buy into it. I wish they did, afterall I believe it is the greatest game, I am sure that is one thing we can agree on.
Months back everyone on these boards was saying how great it will be to have all four sides of the ground full on wiganers, this is not looking likely at all (however I would love to be proved wrong and for a massive surge in ticket sales to occur. Would you not prefer if this was the case? Do you not want to see us sell-out? I can't grasp where you are coming from.
I believe such a big game should sell-out seeing as it is at home. I can't understand why you would believe any differently.
I think this is getting blown out of proportion. There IS going to be over 20,000 Wiganers in the DW on Sunday to watch us play in the World Club Challenge. What would we have given for that in 2006? If someone had told us then that their biggest problem was that their club might not quite completely sell out the WCC we would have laughed in their face! It might sell out yet anyway, so why worry about it till after the game? It certainly won't make the night any less special for me!
I would guess 25/30k? You say that's "Really Poor" I say lets take a little look a touch further back?
I never said anything of the sort - it's pisspoor we haven't sold out yet and don't look to at the moment. We took a lot more to OT than 25k or 30k as well.

As for the Leeds being a City not having to do anything with it, then I reckon a City with say 5x as many people who are from that place may actually attract a a bigger number (Maybe not in % terms but that's a credit to Wiganners) of casual attendees than say Wigan which is far smaller?
And yet Leeds average crowd is similar to ours - the core support should sell out a 25,000 ground with all the neutrals. At the moment that doesn't look to be the case.
People are looking to blame the RFL for something that we should be looking closer to home about.

Very good point, I am getting too concerned over not too much I guess. I can't help but feel disapointed with the sales though. I'm sure on the night it won't even matter especially if we win. Just happy to be able to attend myself!
Someone said earlier that IL mentioned we had broken 20k ticket sales well over a week ago. Even if we don't sell another ticket from tonight, we will have the greatest amount of Wiganers in the ground that we've seen since we've been there.

Wiganers (being thrifty) will clamour for the remaining South Stand tickets in the morning and the North will sell rapidly pretty much all the way through to Sunday. Only the expensive East & West tickets I'd struggle to see us sell fully, some are £40+ each for a ticket, double normal league game prices.
No doubt some non regular supporting Wiganers may think "How can you justify that when you see 4 x games for £40/£50 packages for the football....etc"
Stains v Wire. Massive Clash. Local Derby. First game at their temporary home in Widnes.

How are they going at Saints? Hope it will be a good attendance and a cracking atmopshere as always.
Our offical website is claiming our allocation is nearly all gone and us hoping to get some more adult tickets in over the next few days.

The East stand behind the goal were Saints are is sold out. The North stand has around 500 seats left unsoldThe South stand looks to have around 2000 left unsold, this is according to Saints online booking system.
Wire claim to have pretty much sold out the west stand.
At present we are probably looking at around 9-10k in ticket sales.
And that includes Wire's allocation of 3-4k.
So 20-22k Wiganers so far ain't at all bad really!!!
Now lets compare to another game over the weekend:

So true of our fans, the last derby at saints saw tickets go on sale over a month before, people were trying to get tickets on here the day before
