Like you said i can't imagine he's come cheap so it's only rational that he was on well over £100k.

Or it meant there were players at the club who would of been shipped out had the marquee rule not been passed, but now don't have to be.

Could of swore I'd read when the marquee rule was passed IL said it meant that wigan could retain some players it couldn't have otherwise, but I now can't find it

An article in todays Manchester Evening News states that Warrington are set to announce the signing of Wigan's Jack Hughes on a two year deal, but they insist Stefan Ratchford won't be heading in the opposite direction.

We can all see that our pack is not dominant enough to provide the Platform for the backs to attack from. The backs then look pedestrian and disorganised. From the fans point of view we expect someone to wave a magic wand to make everything right. We got Lucky a few years ago when we got some top class players on the back of the salary cap scandal. The way things are I would expect us to be looking at replacements but we are not able to throw cash at every avaliable body.

Ratchford and Hughes are related so there could be a sign for us and join your kid approach from Wire.
I would love Stefan to sign for us but IL has been pretty forthright in his statements that we are not about to sign him.
Personally I would have Hughes back because after Tomkins, Bateman and Farrell our second options are relatively weak.

I think that's wrong! I've heard that's as good as a done deal. I've also heard there may be a surprise departure from Wigan at the end of the season

I'm convinced if he goes he'll go on to become a very good prop. I don't know why he's been so poor this year because I rate him highly but he's just not kicking on.

A die hard friend of mine from Warrington said it is a done deal.
