Don’t agree. Think that final highlights just how much we got it wrong in the semi.
Saints were there for the taking however Leeds lacked direction and the killer instinct, which is ironic given we lacked the same against them in the semi.
Fair play to Saints though. They didn’t come up against a great team in the final and they didn’t have to be outstanding to win it, but you have to say winning 4 in a row shows they are the best club in SL right now….maybe ever. |

They aren't even close. It doesn't matter if they win 7 in a row. How many of these Saints player would get into the top 4 teams in the NRL, 0? The level of the top teams in super league has dropped off so much in the last 15-20 years that it isn't comparable. Give it another 15 years, and it might go back to being part time teams like in the early 90s.

I think the World Cups squads have to be submitted today (or very soon), it'll be interesting to see if Jonny Lomax plays.
At his age it will probably be his last chance and from an England p.o.v. he is a superb player and as an England R.L supporter I hope he does.
However with that injury he may decide to miss out to be ready for next season, tough decision which I think has already been made!

I think the club will give Lomax the choice of country before club and will play if selected. |
