Since all those players were signed, the financial situation of RL as a whole has changed dramatically. Poorer overall, with much more money available elsewhere for top talent. Get used to the present situation until more money comes into the game.

That's why i put some came to Wigan as stars and some turned into the stars at the club.

The days of Lam and Trent are dead but that doesn't mean we can't find the next Henry Paul or another George Carmont does it.

You only need to look around the league to see that there's still talent to be singed - Moon, Cuthbertson, Walsh, Campese etc. There's also a few very good players coming over next year that would have improved us.

Imo a complete Wigan produced side is just as bad for the club as a team flooded with imports. When you then factor in our coaching staff are all mostly Wiganers as well it's all getting a little OTT for me.

I think you will find over the next few years, we will be in an incredibly strong position. I prefer to look forward, not back. Besides, I have a hell of a lot of "past" now..

That's Patrick leaving who it was said is a prop.
Burke is returning but no one seems to know what's happening to Greenwood.
We need another big mobile SL quality prop.
Been saying for a while we should sign Liam Watts from Hull FC.
After last Friday I'm convinced we should.

It's a bit tough on Patrick but the right call. I'm made up as I thought we may well retain him.

I however think it is a bit tough on him as he never really had a chance at Wigan. In some systems that play more off the cuff rugby he could do a job as a Prop but not the way we play. I think he should have been used as a second row from the off and he may well have been a better signing, as if we are honest he has been poor.

I don't doubt his effort but I do doubt his ability and add that to the hammering his confidence must have taken being asked to do a job he wasn't up to realistically it was never going to work out.

Salford are releasing Hansen,Fages,Chase and Paterson who is going Leigh.Any chance we would go for Hansen if he was willing to come on a low wage?
Fages being linked with Stains and I reckon Chase could end up at Catalans or Wire.
