Spot on. I cannot see him moving to SL. He'll probably move to another Sydney club even closer to his mum. The feature on The Footy Show made him out to be a right mummy's boy!

It's a strange one as the article I read was full of contradictions. At one point they speak about him wanting to be close to his Mum, but then have direct quotes from him talking about a move to Tibet!

Yes I read that too. There was also an article quoting Ben Ikin saying that a spell in Super League would do Idris a lot of good as he wouldn't be under as much pressure, could travel in Europe and experience new cultures and could return as a more rounded person and better player for the NRL (he used Blake Green as an example of a player improved by Super League).

If he was brought over on low-ish wages and given a bit of freedom I'd be excited to see what he could do in a Wigan jersey

Todays Manchester Evening News is saying that Carney has signed a year long loan deal with Salford, it says he went close to signing for Hull before completing his move to the Red Devils.
The article goes on to say that Carneys capture appears to signal the imminent departure of Ben Jones-Bishop, with Hull keeping tabs on the winger.

Ben Jones-Bishop would be someone to look out for. He has a good try scoring record even at Salford, (16 in 24 games) but has had quite a few bad injuries. He could be useful as a backup fullback/winger.

I liked BJB, but definitely wouldn't have minded Carney.

Logic dictates that we don't need a winger, but it's still a bit depressing seeing players you reckon could have done the Cherry and White proud heading elsewhere.

We just need Charnley to get his head down and start to look like he's actually enjoying playing the game again.

Injuries to him or Manfredi could leave us light but it looks like they'll cross that bridge when they come to it.

we have tierney and gabe fell to cover the wings in 2016, so i have no issues with that.
