If that was the case he would have personally emptied Ben Flower's locker for him. I like Ferres as a player a lot but I'm struggling to see where we'd fit him at the moment, to good to be shipped off to Widnes I think.

I know who I'd rather be a team mate of though. And it's not the guy who might shag my wife. Interestingly, BBC are saying he's a prop. It's obviously a tricky situation he's involved in. I suppose he'd have to speak to the England lads and get their thoughts on him before going ahead with any potential deal. People make mistakes but they'd have to sound out his overall character and get his side of the story I suppose.

Based on the rugby side of things I'd like to see him here. At his best he's a destructive player and given the opportunity you don't turn those down all being well.

If we are connected with Ferres could this be due to the other rumour of SOL being linked with Widnes? Otherwise just can't see how we could accommodate Ferres from a cap perspective and who would he edge out of the first 13?

I doubt there's much in it. If there is I expect Bateman will be doing a year in the centres and Ferres or Joel Tomkins would take a bench spot.

I'd imagine there will have to be an exit for this one to come off.

Ferres is a too class impact backrow forward who can do things nobody in our current backrow can.

Tomkins has the potential to play like Ferres and more but he hasn't done it yet since his return from Union.

I think personally we could comfortably fit Ferres into out squad, allowing us to rotate players and give them all game time.

The potential time for players to be unhappy in with a backrow rotation including Ferres would be in big games and finals but again surely that will only benefit the team in every game.

Dont think we need Ferres.
Joel was improving every game until his switch to centre which was his undoing form wise.
I can't see a repeat of that switch this season with three centres and Bateman as back up.
Our three 2nd rowers plus Burke should cover what we may require.
Ferres always plays well for England but according to Hudds fans had an ordinary league season.
Not needed!
