Signing Ferres? So who would we have dropped for him then? Faz, Joel or Bateman?
All three are better than Ferres, then we've just signed Isa as a back rower.
We've also allowed a back rower, Connor, to go Widnes on loan.
Why on earth would we want to be bothered with Ferres?

No idea but everything was agreed with Huddersfield ,it was just he wanted to remain in Yorkshire close to family

Ted you ask the question who would Wigan have dropped to make room for Ferris, but more pertinent to the point is who would have to be moved on if Wigan are up to the cap limit?.
If the answer from Wigan was that nobody would have to move on if Wigan had signed him , this would mean that Wigan have cap space.

If that is the case who would you like to come in at this late hour.

I said it earlier and I'll say it again - IF we had cap space and IF we potentially wanted a top class SL 2nd row then why didn't we resign Hansen? If we we indeed identified a potential weakness at 2nd row then HH seemed like a no brainer to me.

That's unless Ferris was a panic buy which raises even more difficult questions....

Because Ferres is better than Hansen?

Possibly, but comes with far more baggage.

A slight increase in talent doesn't outweigh all the other negative parts of signing him imo.

I like Hansen but wouldn't agree that there is only a slight difference in talent between him and Ferres. In fact I think it's debatable whether Hansen would pinch a bench spot when all are fit whereas Ferres would definitely be in there.

There's also the question of what Hansen would prefer - being a squad player at Wigan or being one of the main men at Leigh. They may well be able to offer him more £ as a result as well

Ferres wouldn't have made any sense to me - we seem to be obsessed with building a forward pack comprised entirely of second row forwards. Do we actually have a prop that wasn't a second rower first?

Could it be forward thinking strategy on Waney's part, as to when the substitutions are reduced to 8. Maybe he'll want a more mobile pack then. It will certainly alter the thinking.Just a thought.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.
