If Bennett does sign as coach for England then it will be a very good move by the RFL.

I do think Shaun Wane will be involved and have thought that since Brian McDermott took the USA coaching job for the World Cup. It was either of them for the England job so that suggests to me Waney will be in the England set up.

In the quotes Bennett talks about "being involved". Whether he is the head coach or does as he did with the Kiwis and be the assistant I don't know. Either way I hope Waney can be involved as I'm sure he'll learn an awful lot from Wayne Bennett.

Big year for Charnley. No wonder contract talks have dragged because I would imagine Wigan will be offering reduced terms based on his form these past two years.

I want to see him fly out the blocks tomorrow and show the enthusiasm that made him such a top player.

I share your sentiments NK however, his pace seems to have gone.
I was talking today about his cover tackle at Wembley versus Hull and that his pace then was fantastic and he seemed capable of scoring from anywhere and his enthusiasm was top drawer.
Wouldn't be surprised if he didn't start tomorrow.

If he doesn't start tomorrow, with Budgie gone and Sam not even in the squad, then we've surely got to take it as a sign that his star has waned in the eyes of the coaching staff. Personally, I thought he was woeful in defence again at Leigh. A friendly, I know ... but hardly a sign of improvement.

He put on Twitter that he can't wait to play tomorrow and id imagine they're aware of the side so it's safe to assume Charnley is playing.

I think we're a bit short in that position, so JC is the best of a bad job I suppose. Yes, he's been poor since the long layoff a couple of years ago & he needs to pull his socks up. My reaction to the MEN thing was mainly that we don't need another "high profile" (in the eyes of those who don't sit on the terrace each week) transfer to the dark side. I'd have no problem with him swanning off to the Leythers or Bately for eg
