Why not? He is a quick, big strong winger who gives his all???? What type of player do you want?

He's always trying to start fights. Makes mistakes when he has the ball and starts pushing or reacting to stuff. And we all know why he's not at cas anymore. He just doesn't seem like a likeable person.

If we do sign him i will of course cheer for him. But as of right now I hope we don't sign him. Although he is a very Wigan or Wane type of winger who will make a lot of metres early on in the set.

My main Carney worry was a high error rate but looking at the stats he's really got that under control and is nowhere near the top of that chart (he's made 8 in 9 games compared to a league high of 18 from Sarginson).

The fact that he's aggressive doesn't worry me at all, in fact it's completely the opposite. We're a tough side anyway and if he adds to that then great.

Carney is the top metre maker in the league and an outstanding finisher. We wont get much better unless Burgess comes back.

Carney would be a great buy. Would score for fun with good ball from Sam.

I'd be made up with Carney, we lack game breakers IMO. I reckon he is a good bet for the league's top try scorer as well. Charnley looked like a child trying to deal with him at their place last year.

Im told if Carney comes Castleford want Ryan Hampshire.

I think its probably worth it.

Hampshire no doubt the best in his age group back when he was 16/17 but we see it all too often with players who arent able to make that step up to Super League. Time to cut our losses with him.

All teams have a half back who takes control, ours is Matty Smith and another who has more off the cuff style, ours is George Williams. Smith is still under contract for another 3 years, and unless he goes to the NRL George will be here for another 12 years. Sam Tomkins will be our fullback for another 6-8 years as well. I see now way of Hampshire getting in the team. Best for all parties concerned if he moves on and theres no better way to do it than to use him to get us one of the best wingers in Super League!
