Give him a 1 year deal with an extra year option being the club's choice tbh.

Everyone keeps mentioning him as a prop, but more often than not he has played in the 2nd row, on the edge. He has a good step, good fend and has a good passing game for a big guy. Hull use him incorrectly IMO - with a good coach, he could be devastating

Coley of last year, no. But Coley has (imo) been noticeably less effective this year, still a good player mind but at the same time Paul Wood has stepped it up a bit.

http://www.superleague.co.uk/statistics ... eason=2011

Coleys Metres per carry = 6.87

Woods metres per carry = 7.11

Granted more errors, but thats in a couple more games and playing a much more offload centred game.

we have played all the top teams twice now though apart from Wire.

Even last year's stats suggest that Wood was the better performer.

Paul Wood has been one of Super League's quiet acheivers for some time and is greatly under-rated.

How come stats only matter to Wire fans when it fits? When we point out Sam Tomkins and Brett Hodgsons stats, they somehow dont matter

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.

Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

Danny Bridge to Wire is one rumour on our board?

Can't say I ever hear name mentioned much if at all from those who regularly watch the reserves. He's certainly not one of our stand out youngsters.

Good luck to him though if it is indeed true.

Re: Lauaki to Wigan : Thu Jul 21, 2011 2:10 pm
I really dont see what the big downer is regards Lauaki.

For a start even if we do sign him we'll still have Fielden, Lima, Prescott and Mossop plus the Hock and Crosby. If he's a cheapish option to add depth to our front row i think it could be quite an astute signing as he has bags of potential.

If we got him say on a one year deal with a futher 1 or 2 in our favour looking at him to improve his all around game. Mainly his structure within a team and ill discipline it could work out brilliantly.

One things for sure this "potential" kind of signing wont be like Karl Pryce. Lauaki will never be questioned for his passion and commitment.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

I agree, the only thing is it will take up one of the quota spots.
